Let's unlock your potential, so learning feels easier, thinking gets faster, and performance rises.

What Are Cognitive Skills?

The core skills our brain uses to pay attention, read, learn, think, understand, remember, and reason can be defined as the cognitive skills. These skills are important for carrying out from the simplest to the most complex tasks at different points in our life. Perception, attention, memory, motor skills, language, visual and sensory processing, and executive functions are the most important brain functions or cognitive skills that every human being requires and uses. Each cognitive skill plays a vital part in processing new information. If any one of them is weak, this hampers brain functions, leading to most learning struggles and attention deficit issues.

Where We Use Them?

Attention skills training

Attention

The ability to sustain focus, even for tasks that is not interesting. Biggest impact: All subjects, particularly those a student finds least interesting.

Memory skills training

Memory

The ability to mentally juggle multiple bits of information in short-term memory. Biggest impact: Multi-step problem solving, reading comprehension, following directions.

Logic and reasoning skills training

Logic & Reasoning

The ability to understand non-language-based information, including numbers and shapes. Biggest impact: Math and Science, particularly in higher grades.

Brain processing speed training

Brain Processing Speed

How efficiently you process and respond to new information. Biggest impact: Class participation, standardized tests, reading and homework efficiency.

Auditory processing training

Auditory Processing

The brain's ability to interpret and make sense of what it hears. Foundational for reading, language acquisition, and communication.

Visual processing training

Visual Processing

Interpreting and manipulating what the eyes see. Essential for reading comprehension, spatial reasoning, and technical work.

Long-term memory training

Long-Term Memory

The storage and retrieval of learned information over time. Strong long-term memory enables knowledge to be built upon and applied across contexts.

If any of these sound familiar, we can help strengthen the underlying cognitive skills so learning and performance come easier.

The Learning Model

Learning relies on a set of core cognitive abilities, attention, memory, processing speed, logic and reasoning, and visual and auditory processing. When these skills are weak, children often become frustrated and find school difficult because they struggle to take in and make sense of new information. The same weaknesses can limit adults in the workplace, leaving capable employees stuck in roles that don't reflect their true potential.

Discover Whom We Help

  • Homework & Academic struggles
  • Reading struggles / Dyslexia
  • ADHD/ ADD
  • Dyscalculia

Homework & Academic Struggles

Are homework struggles causing chaos in your house? Do you dread each night knowing what's ahead of you?

Students who often struggle academically at school or with excessive homework do so for a reason. Too much homework or taking too long to complete it are often a sign of potential underlying learning skills weaknesses. Specific underlying learning skills are absolutely necessary for easy, successful learning. If skills weaknesses remain hidden, students have to work much harder to learn, and often without success.

Professional cognitive skills testing from BrainRx is the best way to pinpoint the exact cause of any learning problem, homework struggles are no exception. BrainRx testing can also uncover unrealized potential in advanced students looking for a competitive edge.

Reading Struggles & Dyslexia

Dyslexia can be defined as a specific learning difficulty which can affect the fluency in reading, writing and spelling.

Children with dyslexia can also have difficulties which affect other areas of learning, including memory and processing speed, as well as learning how to learn (metacognition).

For this reason, children with dyslexia may still experience learning difficulties throughout their life even when there is improvement in their reading skills.

Auditory processing is the skill the brain uses to identify and segment sounds, which are critical for reading success and to overcome problems with Dyslexia. In fact, studies show that 85% of struggling readers have weak auditory processing skills.

Through our brainRx training program, for about 2112 clients with Dyslexia, their auditory processing skills improved an average of 27 percentile points following brain training. * The average gain in age-equivalent cognitive skill performance was 3.6 years. * The average gain in IQ was 13 standard points.

ADHD / ADD

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is one of the most common childhood disorders, which can continue through adolescence and adulthood. Symptoms often include difficulty staying focused and paying attention, difficulty controlling behaviour and impulsivity, as well as hyperactivity

These symptoms can interfere with a child's ability to function at school and at home. the cognitive deficits that are commonly linked to this problem.

Do you or your Child:

  • Struggle to listen to and/or follow instructions?
  • Become easily distracted from the task assigned?
  • Have difficulty in multitasking?
  • Act impulsively or interrupt others?
  • Often need things repeated?
  • Easily become impatient?
  • Struggle to sit still, or stay seated?
  • Have difficulty paying attention?

If the answer to any of the above questions is a YES, you or your child may be experiencing symptoms of an Attention disorder such as ADHD/ADD.

Please note: While there may not be an ADHD cure universally, Our program provides a natural & drug-free ADHD treatment program for kids & adults that involves Practice and science-based techniques. ADHD medication for adults or children is not prescribed as part of our solution

Dyscalculia

Dyscalculia comes from Greek and Latin and simply means counting badly. Today, the word serves as a broad term for learning difficulties in math. About 5 percent of people struggle with this learning disability

Do you or your Child experience any of the following symptoms?

  • Difficulty working with numbers
  • Confusion over math symbols
  • Difficulty with basic math (adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing)
  • Reversing or transposing numbers (89 becomes 98)
  • Difficulty with mental math
  • Trouble telling time and direction
  • Poor long-term memory

Cognitive skills training: the only treatment that attacks the root of the problem by strengthening weak mental skills.

Frequently Asked Questions

How different are you from "Tutoring"?

Tutoring re-teaches material that should already have been learned or you missed. For example, if your child didn't learn classroom content because he or she was home with the flu, or his/her teacher was replaced by a string of substitutes, then you can hire a tutor. It means if identifiable circumstances have interfered with the delivery of information to your child, then if your child's cognitive skills are strong, hiring someone to redeliver that information makes sense.

But before investing in Tutoring, we should always ask a different question: "How strong is his or her ability to learn?" Our testing and training strengthens the key underlying mental skills that are essential for easy, fast learning instead of trying to compensate for skill weaknesses. If skills weakness is a root cause of your child's learning struggle, tutoring simply cannot correct it.

What causes "reading struggles"?

One of the prime reasons for the reading struggles are due to a weakness in auditory processing. This is the cognitive skill that allows us to identify, segment, and blend sounds. But other weak skills can interfere with reading, too. For example, poor attention skills can mean a reader is frequently distracted, poor memory skills can interfere with recall, and poor visual processing skills can keep a reader from creating the mental pictures that help them comprehend and engage with what they just read. Our works on each of these weaknesses separately and in the end of program you will find remarkable change in his / her performance.

Are learning struggles they will outgrow?

The answer is no, not in most cases. Learning, reading, or attention difficulties rarely go away with time. If you sense that your child is struggling, you must take action.

People who struggle to learn or read do so for a reason.

New brain science shows individual cognitive skill weaknesses are the most likely (80%) reason for the learning disabilities.

Yes, we could always accommodate his or her problem by creating lower expectations, or focusing only on strengths, however, these choices limit your child's future potential.

Only through professional testing and training can you identify and overcome the exact cause of a learning struggle and create a strategy that will produce both immediate and lifelong change.

Is brain training just for students??

Not all all. It is for age groups from 4-99 years.

Because cognitive weaknesses are not necessarily strengthened by time, children who struggle with reading, learning, reasoning, remembering, or paying attention often grow into adults with the same struggles.

Many of our clients are, in fact, adults of all ages and stages of life, from the college-bound, to career builders, to seniors.
