Cognition (Gk. "I know") refers to how we acquire, process, and use knowledge to understand the world and learn new information. Research shows that cognitive skills play a critical role in a person's ability to learn and perform.
These skills include attention, memory, perception, language, reasoning, and problem-solving. They enable the brain to focus, read, understand, remember, and make decisions.
When cognitive skills are strong, learning becomes easier and more effective. When one or more of these skills are weak, it can lead to difficulties with learning, focus, and information processing.

The Gibson Test of Cognitive Skills is a scientifically based assessment that measures the brain skills behind learning, performance, and productivity. Unlike traditional IQ tests, it identifies specific cognitive strengths and weaknesses and shows how they can be improved.
Future Skills Academy is Oman's exclusive licensed partner, offering professional assessments and personalised BrainRx training plans. The test is available for children (5+), adolescents, adults, and seniors, making it suitable for schools, workplaces, and individuals seeking cognitive development.
Understanding the individual's background, challenges, goals, and context before assessment.
A structured, one-to-one cognitive evaluation administered by a certified FSA assessor (approximately 45–60 minutes).
A detailed consultation explaining the Gibson report with scores, interpretations, and specific development recommendations for a personalised BrainRx cognitive training pathway, designed directly from the Gibson results to address identified skill gaps.
